Topology Partners: license your company's records to AI companies.

topologypartners.com, hoytgong@gmail.com. Last updated October 25, 2026.

AI companies pay to license the everyday records of real businesses. We review your company and tell you plainly if there is a real opportunity. Then we introduce you to the buyer that fits, and you never pay us.

What we do

Topology Partners is a sell-side advisor for business data licensing. We represent your side of the introduction, and we work with US companies of 30 to 500 people.

We never receive, hold or move your records. The buyer does that under its own contract with you, and the review with us is a conversation.

What buyers license

Buyers license the ordinary records your team already produces. Years of routine work are worth more to a buyer than a few months of unusual projects.

  • Email and messages, including Slack and Microsoft Teams
  • Support tickets and call recordings (where everyone consented to the recording)
  • Contracts, customer and job records
  • Invoices and financials
  • Source code and internal chat

Buyers with public programs publish ranges from $100K to $2M and up.1 For a range for your size, see the free estimate. It is a Topology Partners estimate, not an offer. A buyer sets the final price.

How it works, in five steps

  1. Answer a few questions. About your company and the tools it uses. You send no files.
  2. See your estimate. A range appears as soon as you answer.
  3. We review your company. On a 30-minute call, we look at what you have. We tell you plainly whether there is a real opportunity.
  4. We introduce you to the buyer that fits. The buyer looking for your industry and your kind of records. We make the introduction only after you say yes in writing.
  5. You approve the offer and get paid. You see what is included and the price before you sign. The buyer pays you directly.

Not every buyer makes an offer. You sign directly with the buyer, or with none.

What stays out

  • Customer lists on their own, pricing and current bids
  • Passwords and credentials
  • Card and bank details
  • Payroll, HR and personnel files
  • Anything holding patient health data
  • Anything your customer or vendor contracts restrict, privileged legal material and anything else you name

Before any AI training, the buyer de-identifies the records (removes names and anything else that points to a person). Ask the buyer to put its method in your contract.

How we're paid

You never pay us. The buyer you sign with pays us a referral fee, and you see it in writing before any introduction. Full disclosure

Nothing is deducted from your contract, and you can strike any buyer.

Your workload

About an hour with us. A few minutes of questions and a 30-minute call. After you sign, the buyer's engineers work with your IT lead to export the agreed records. Have your lawyer review the contract first.

FAQ

Is this selling our data?

No. It's a license. You keep ownership, the scope is defined and the term is fixed. You can require deletion at term end in the contract; models already trained stay trained.

Where does the data go?

To the buyer you sign with, never through Topology Partners. Buyers use it to train and test AI models, for themselves and the AI labs they supply. If it matters to you, we ask every buyer in writing; any that refuses comes off your list. We ask for a contract ban on transfer to China or other countries of concern. We also ask for a ban on resale outside named customers.

We have customer data in these systems. Is that OK?

Often yes, with exclusions. Anything your customer contracts restrict is left out, and the buyer de-identifies personal details before training. Companies holding patient health data are not a fit.

What if we're already talking to a buyer?

Tell us. We leave that buyer out, and we tell you plainly whether a different buyer fits your records better.

How long until we're paid?

The buyer pays your company directly, under the contract you sign with it. Each buyer sets its own payment timing, and that timing goes into your contract.

Do we have to accept an offer?

No. You owe us nothing, and nothing binds you until you sign a buyer's contract.

1. $100K to $2M is the span that two buyers' published ranges both cover. micro1 publishes payout tiers from $100K–$500K up to $2M+ (micro1.ai/data-partnerships). Handshake AI publishes $100K to $4M+ (joinhandshake.com/ai/data-partnerships). Both read 2026-10-25. These are the buyers' published ranges, not offers.
